Pictures from the last few weeks of My Baby Girl

She looks like a little elf.

We got this picture a week ago and I keep hoping to scan it but alas I am a proud computer ignorant. So I used our camera and took a picture of the picture. My husband will probably scan it for me as soon as he notices that I put this up like this. It isn't that I don't know how to scan. It is that I don't have a clue how to attach the sanner to the computer. So I improvised.

Also I am adding a great video of daddy and daughter dancing to the music from the Osmonds 50th anniversary show. It is pretty good. She has great moves.

Also her giving her little pony a pony ride

and her playing in the leaves with one of the girls next door. Of coarse that was before it started to snow. Hope that you enjoy.

Tiling The Kitchen

Well Saturday I finally started tiling the kitchen floor (we have had the tile sitting in a bedroom for a few months now.) It is quite the project. I am certain that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere near as much done as I did if it hadn't been for a couple of brothers-in-law, a few neighbors (some that helped and some that let me borrow tools), and their wives (since they let me borrow their spouses.) I am so thankful for all the help I got. It made tiling for the first time A LOT easier. I'll try not to bore you with the details. There was a lot of prep work before we even started laying the tile (we started about 8:30 am and the first tile was laid in place around 3:30 pm.) By the time we stopped though we had laid all the tile that we didn't have to cut (I'm hoping to do that on Tuesday along with some of the grout work.) I can't help but look at the kitchen and be proud of the work everyone has done. Hopefully it will look good once I get it finished. Here's some pictures for anyone that is interested.

Thanksgiving and the weekend

Well this Thanksgiving has been fun and tiring. We went to my wife's older sister's house on Wednesday and stayed the night. To make a long story short we went to bed at 3:30 am. About 8am our daughter was at our bedside saying she wanted to go upstairs to see her cousins. So I told her that she could go upstairs by herself. This was not a good enough answer as she started pulling on my arm, taking the blanket off of me, and saying "Come on daddy." Again I told her that she could go upstairs by herself. At this point I could tell by the look on her face that she realized that wanting to go upstairs was not going to get her daddy out of bed. So she came up with another idea to get daddy out of bed. She grabbed her diaper and started saying "poop, poop." I just kinda laughed to myself and got out of bed. I did get a little more sleep after I took care of the diaper and got her breakfast.

I did have fun during the day though. I spent time talking to my brothers and sisters-in-law that I haven't seen much lately. I also played outside with my nieces and nephews a little bit. Around 3 or 4 we all sat down and enjoyed a really good Thanksgiving dinner. I had a couple helpings of food. A little latter in the day I went and played basketball for an hour or two with some of our family. I had a lot of fun playing (I wish I could play more but I don't really have anyone to play with.) As soon as we stopped my body started screaming at me since I haven't played in so long and I'm out of shape (I know it's hard to tell with how skinny I am.) After, I took a short nap before we drove home.

Thanksgiving night we took one of our nieces back to our place for a sleepover. She has been wanting to come over for sooooooooo long so we're glad we were able to have her over. She had fun playing with our daughter and the Nintendo. We also rented a movie for them to watch. On Saturday she helped me clean the refrigerator. She wanted to help because she saw me sucking the water I had dumped in freezer out with a dropper and a small baster. She was very helpful though. We took her home on Saturday.

Family Christmas Party

The Monday before Thanksgiving we had a family Christmas party. I know what you're thinking. Why would you have a Christmas party in November before Thanksgiving. It was because a family member was going back home and wouldn't be able to come back. Plus the family member that was suppose to schedule the building didn't until it was too late. Well, one of the things that makes this party memorable is we have a pinata every year at the party. Since daughter is one of the younger ones she was one of the kids that hit it first. I was amazed at how hard she hit the pinata. She split it in half. Ok, I'm pulling your leg. She didn't hit it that hard. Maybe in a few years. You can probably figure out how hard she hit it by looking at the pictures below.

Black Friday

I am officially insane. I woke up at 12:58 am so I could purchase a hot Christmas item from Amazon.com when it became available at 1 am MST (12 PST.) I had the computer setup so all I had to do is refresh the web page and click purchase. Man am I tired. I'm going back to bed.

20.5 weeks Pregnant

Here is a little bit of our sons 20 week ultrasound.
Don't blink or you'll miss it. We thought that we would have more of the face especially. But mostly it is the heartbeat. Just thought that we would share what video we had.

Here is a picture of his face.

Proposition 8

I was suprised by the pictures on this article. I am suprised that there were police that allowed vandalism on private property while they stood watch. I feel that since a lot of one side has been shown on the news that I should have something showing that there is wrong going on. As a country we cannot condone obvious hatred either way. Just as some members have not always acted in a way becoming of their faith, they are not the only guilty ones. We must show love to each other on both sides and agree to disagree. There are so many broken laws that need to be fixed before we should get so angry. If prop 8 hadn't passed and members responded in such a way (realizing that many LDS still voted no and still love their church) they would have been reproached by the church. Hatred will not make their cause greater. To truly be Christlike we must walk in tolerance and love. It does not mean that we have to agree it just means that we must love those that do not agree with us. http://www.ldsmag.com/ideas/081110hate.html

Movement

It is fun lately I have been feeling our son move. I even think that I felt him on the outside to. Daddy hasn't been so lucky. Isn't that how it always works. It is like the baby hides until they get too big to hide. Even then sometimes they just stop moving because they know daddy wants to feel them too. But I hope he gets to feel our son move soon. In some ways moms are spoiled with all the firsts sooner. But I guess it is fair since we are the ones throwing up and feeling yucky. But I have always said that we are pregnant. Even though physically he isn't pregnant but oh the drama from hormones they have to deal with. The meals they have to make because you can't physically stand looking at food. I am grateful that I have a great man by my side.

I hope that you are all doing well and that you enjoy our new home online. Names will not be used other than mommy, daddy, daughter and son. If you know us in person than you wil know the name of who we are talking about and can add them in while you read if you want to. I hope that you are having a wonderful day and we hope that you enjoy our blog.
