We had a busy Easter weekend. Something about a little boys birthday and Easter all in the same weekend. On Saturday our sons birthday we started the day by going to the Neighborhood Easter egg hunt.
Sunday Morning they woke up and saw this on the table before breakfast. The small red baskets are for my husband and I. The movie and peeps are for everyone. I don't know why I buy peeps other than it seems wrong to not have them at Easter (sentimental tradition). We didn't put names on the baskets since we figured the toys and color of baskets would give it away. Sure enough our son knew right away that Fireman Sam belonged to him. Our oldest asked which one belonged to her and since the baby food didn't give it away at least she knew that Hello Kitty was going to be for her. They both insisted on taken Fireman Sam and Hello Kitty with them to church.
After church we had our traditional Easter photo shoot. Our kids wanted us to match them as well. My husband willing wore a matching bow tie with our son and has even said he might wear it again because he kind of liked how he looked. I was done sewing and so bought a matching outfit for me. I wanted something new anyways. The girls skirts matched and I made those along with the bow ties.

After lunch Our Princess felt that she needed another egg hunt. Well I was not doing more candy for we took a page out of a friends book and put kid dates in the eggs and a dollar each. They are so excited to use their dates with mommy or daddy. After they found their eggs we came in and opened Resurrection eggs that I made in Relief Society a few years ago. There are 12 eggs and each egg tells a part of the story of Christs Atonement and Resurrection. It was a wonderful day and we enjoyed the time together as a family.
