Friends!

Enjoying some pool time with her best friend before school starts up.

The County Fair 2011

Here we are at our annual County Fair. We went and checked out the fun free stuff.

They enjoyed the pony rides.
Getting balloon hats.
If you can't tell hers is a butterfly and his is a plane.
Shot some hoops and got a candy and chalk for playing.
A family picture. Aren't we cute?!?
And enjoyed the discovery tent.

A Broken Arm

Ok so I know you have probably noticed the cast on out little girls arm. So more than likely you have wondered what happened. Well as it turns out one night my son thought it would be fun to pretend that my daughter's legs were a tunnel. But he also thought he should be able to keep the train moving and got frustrated when his sister was in the way. How rude right? So he pushed really hard and caused her to fall and hyper-extend her elbow so bad that it caused a crack above her elbow. So we went to the doctor and they put a splint on and sent us to a children's orthopedic clinic and they put the cast on her arm. She kept trying to pick colors that everyone else picked. Finally she decided on red. I think this was her favorite accessory. She really didn't complain much. She wore it for 3 weeks. And was very happy to have it come off. The hardest part for her was that she couldn't go on a trampoline for a whole month.

Here she is showing off her cast before we got it cut off.
Waiting to get an x-ray to see if it can come off.
Waiting for sister to come back from her x-ray.
So she looks nervous right like it is a little scary.
But wait she is laughing. Turns out that the saw was tickling her arm.
Here she is happily showing off her arm cast free.
A fun thing at the Children's hospital is this little garden area. It made for some fun pictures.

First Day of Dance

Dance started a few weeks ago and life is good. She loves taking this time to learn how to dance. Plus she loves getting dressed up each week for it.

Neighborhood Bike Parade

This was a lot of fun. Our kids got to participate in their first bike parade and they loved it. Each kid got a balloon and got to attach it to their bikes and ride through the neighborhood and finish at the park. Maybe I should let my daughter ride her bike while I go on walks. As long as their are no up hills she will be in heaven.

Family Day!

We got a chance to go to the local Amusement Park with my husbands family. It was fun to spend the day with them and to watch my kids have fun with their cousins and Grandma and Grandpa. My daughter couldn't get enough of the rides and my son always looked apprehensive but you couldn't get him to stay off. Here are the pics from that day.
Two of my little nieces. They wrapped me around their little fingers.
Aww how cute!
Here they are at the end of the day. Worn out and tired. She is wearing her rain jacket that we got her just so she could get wet and not worry about her cast. Lucky we planned for that because it started to rain and we were prepared.

Dinosaur Park 2011

Our last fun place to go during our staycation was to the Dinosaur park. And surprise there are some pictures with me in them. Surprising I know. Generally my goal is to stay out of pictures. So while we were there we were taking a picture and almost got eaten by a T-Rex. Scary I know.
Instead we got invited over for dinner. How nice is that?
One dinosaur thought my husband was her baby.
Then they threw us in jail.
Luckily the Flinstone's lived close by. They helped us out and let us visit with them in their home.
After we were done visiting with Fred and Wilma we found the education center and got to color some pictures and get out of the hot sun for a moment.
Some Dinosaurs were nice enough to give the kids some rides.
All in all it was a nice day and a great vacation. Nothing is better than sleeping in your own bed.
