35 1/2 weeks

So I had a doctors appointment yesterday and the doctor has said that everything is going great. He doesn't feel that the baby should be here any earlier than 3 weeks and that is good. I have plenty to do. I am already dilating and so yay my body says that it doesn't plan on being pregnant forever, although at times it can feel that way. Yet it feels way close. I am amazed that soon I will be able to hold this baby boy in my arms and watch my sweet little girl be a big sister. Our next door neighbor had a baby 2 months ago and she loves to help with the baby and wants to hold him. It definitely tells me that I will have to keep an eye on her, yet I know she will be so sweet with her baby brother. My husband is getting the nursery all painted and put together. It will be great once he is done so that I can get everything put away, ready, and organized. I am a little antsy, some have called it nesting. So for now everything is great and good. I am progressing and this little man moves like an acrobat and never lets his mom worry whether he is there or not. I am grateful for the many blessings in my life and for a wonderful group of supportive family and friends. I am grateful for my husband and how helpful he has been this pregnancy. He is so patient and kind and good with hormonal me and our busy toddler. How lucky can a girl be. To him, I promise that when I no longer have a kid kicking my stomach I will be a better wife. Luckily that should be the case in around a month. I love you.

7 weeks to go

So this morning I went to my doctors appointment and everything looks good. For the first time I actually had questions and the doctor answered and relieved any concerns that I had. Not really a lot this time around, since as long as I feel this baby boy moving I know that things are going fine. Even though I know that this baby boy will most likely not be here for at least 7 weeks. Even though I know that there is a possibly that he could be early and I have certainly joked and sometimes prayed for it. When the doctor said that I could go into labor in 3-6 weeks it all the sudden clicked. He is coming and he is going to be here soon and I still need to get his bed set up. So I told my husband that we have to get his done now. Which I think lighted a little spark on his end too. Not that we have been doing nothing, yet we have been moving at a pace that says this baby wont be here until April. However if he should come before that, (which I have learned that they do have minds of their own and may decide to be early sometimes) it would be good, even preferable for him to have a place for him to sleep. However this is an easy fix it just means that we have to get a mattresses which would take only an hour at the most. However the most preferable solution would be to find storage for the boxes at the end of the bed (that used to be in a spare bedroom no longer spare) and then we can set up the bassinet. I am sure that we will have it figured out by this weekend how thing will fall in place. It just takes some creative organizational skills which I will pray to be blessed with.

Look-alike Meter

There has been a lot of discussion on who our baby girl looks more like. So we thought we would try this website. Here is it's unbiased opinion below

We always thought she was a good mix.

Snow

Here she is in her snowsuit ready to go out and play in snow.
So it snowed recently and daddy made a little sled hill for his little girl. So I thought that I would share a couple videos. She has soo much fun it is almost impossible to get her to come in and warm up.

Here is a video of her getting daddy with snow and daddy helping her make a snow angel. I don't think that she got it though.

Here she is helping daddy, helping the neighbor shovel snow.

Hope that you enjoyed the videos and pictures.

Happy New Year!

I am doing so good at keeping this updated I know. I keep hoping that my husband would write something but he hasn't so I will. I usually feel a little silly as I write so I hope that this isn't too lame. Lately we have started letting our little girl figure out potty training. She is actually doing pretty well. I really didn't expect her to be doing so well already I just wanted her to try it out. She learns by doing and desire and so I thought it would be good to let her start analyzing it a little and see what happens. She still has accidents but is starting to tell us she need to go so improvement. One New years resolution that is working out pretty well. We haven't done too many things lately. The room that our little girl will be moving into is painted and so hopefully by the end of the month it will be all ready and she can move in. I will have to post pictures of her room and the nursery when we are done.

Pictures from the last few weeks of My Baby Girl

She looks like a little elf.

We got this picture a week ago and I keep hoping to scan it but alas I am a proud computer ignorant. So I used our camera and took a picture of the picture. My husband will probably scan it for me as soon as he notices that I put this up like this. It isn't that I don't know how to scan. It is that I don't have a clue how to attach the sanner to the computer. So I improvised.

Also I am adding a great video of daddy and daughter dancing to the music from the Osmonds 50th anniversary show. It is pretty good. She has great moves.

Also her giving her little pony a pony ride

and her playing in the leaves with one of the girls next door. Of coarse that was before it started to snow. Hope that you enjoy.

Tiling The Kitchen

Well Saturday I finally started tiling the kitchen floor (we have had the tile sitting in a bedroom for a few months now.) It is quite the project. I am certain that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere near as much done as I did if it hadn't been for a couple of brothers-in-law, a few neighbors (some that helped and some that let me borrow tools), and their wives (since they let me borrow their spouses.) I am so thankful for all the help I got. It made tiling for the first time A LOT easier. I'll try not to bore you with the details. There was a lot of prep work before we even started laying the tile (we started about 8:30 am and the first tile was laid in place around 3:30 pm.) By the time we stopped though we had laid all the tile that we didn't have to cut (I'm hoping to do that on Tuesday along with some of the grout work.) I can't help but look at the kitchen and be proud of the work everyone has done. Hopefully it will look good once I get it finished. Here's some pictures for anyone that is interested.
