Turkey Talking Time
So I haven't done much about her Talking Time Classes. Once a week we go for an hour to work on my daughter's speech. At it we start by doing a hello song, chant, or poem. Then they introduce a sound and theme that they are focusing the games on. Then we read a story that also emphasizes that sound and theme. Next each kid gets their folder and then they divide up into a different station where mom and kid focus on the individual sound that the therapists would like you to focus on with your child. every 10 minutes we move to the next station which includes 2 stations with personal 1 on 1 time with the 2 therapists. In the last couple of months my daughter has made leaps and bounds in her speech. It isn't perfect yet, but it is so nice to have people look at her and know some of what she is saying than to always look to me to translate. Because although I understood a bit more of what she said it broke my heart every time I didn't. After all a mother is supposed to understand her kid and I wasn't. Most of the time the only way I understood her was by her ability to express herself through actions and sound effects. She is so smart. So here are some pictures of a Talking Time day. Enjoy!
Marshmallow Turkey's She would say a few words with the sounds we were working on and then get a marshmallow to add to her turkey.

A Fireman and a Fairy
This year Halloween was brought to you by the letter "F". For my daughter she wanted to be a fairy this year. Actually she wanted to be Tinkerbell but I convinced her that being a fairy was going to be good enough. It was so convenient that she was in dance and we had this outfit that one of her Aunts bought for her a while ago. And the wings I actually bought her first Halloween when I was trying to figure out what she was going to be. Her costume was so easy to figure out. May it always be this easy. For my son it was a little more difficult to decide what he was since he couldn't tell me. I had thought that I might make him Peter Pan but I wasn't really sold on the idea. Well I saw this no sew costume idea for a fireman and fell in love with him being a fireman. So I got a copy of the instructions and went to some stores and found myself at Target trying to find the stuff for this costume. I never did find reflective tape. But I did find this cute fireman's coat for 12 bucks. I figured it was worth it because it would give him his own dress up outfit when he wants to dress up with his sister. I have the hardest time buying something for Halloween unless I can find more uses then the one night.
So I managed to have a friend come take pictures of them with her nice camera and she did a great job. Luckily I did because on Halloween we found the camera battery dead. So I am grateful that we have those pictures. My husband used his phone camera to take a couple of our son eating at the Trunk or Treat. And some from her Halloween Party at Preschool. Hope you enjoy!

Isn't he just handsome!?!
She found a grape leaf in our yard and had fun playing with it. Love this picture, it's like a little hat.

In these pictures below her class is singing a pumpkin song. She was not happy because the girl in red pushed her out of her spot on the wall. At least that was how she felt.
Here is my son stealing his sister hot cocoa and enjoying every bit of it.

What Fall Looks like out My Front Door
Pumpkin Patch Preschool Field Trip
So my daughter had 2 field trips this last month with school. The Second one was to the pumpkin patch. So I realize I already have pumpkin patch pictures but there were some cute ones I had to share with both and it was easier to do them in 2 separate posts.
