A Fireman and a Fairy

This year Halloween was brought to you by the letter "F". For my daughter she wanted to be a fairy this year. Actually she wanted to be Tinkerbell but I convinced her that being a fairy was going to be good enough. It was so convenient that she was in dance and we had this outfit that one of her Aunts bought for her a while ago. And the wings I actually bought her first Halloween when I was trying to figure out what she was going to be. Her costume was so easy to figure out. May it always be this easy. For my son it was a little more difficult to decide what he was since he couldn't tell me. I had thought that I might make him Peter Pan but I wasn't really sold on the idea. Well I saw this no sew costume idea for a fireman and fell in love with him being a fireman. So I got a copy of the instructions and went to some stores and found myself at Target trying to find the stuff for this costume. I never did find reflective tape. But I did find this cute fireman's coat for 12 bucks. I figured it was worth it because it would give him his own dress up outfit when he wants to dress up with his sister. I have the hardest time buying something for Halloween unless I can find more uses then the one night.
So I managed to have a friend come take pictures of them with her nice camera and she did a great job. Luckily I did because on Halloween we found the camera battery dead. So I am grateful that we have those pictures. My husband used his phone camera to take a couple of our son eating at the Trunk or Treat. And some from her Halloween Party at Preschool. Hope you enjoy!

A Fireman and a Fairy
Isn't he just handsome!?!
She found a grape leaf in our yard and had fun playing with it. Love this picture, it's like a little hat.
His Aunt and Uncle got this for his big sister before he was born and it actually was a firetruck play car. Due to not having a good place to store it the stickers came off. One day we will have a garage or decent storage shed to store things like this.
She loves caterpillars in our yard. Here she is showing one to her brother. I love their faces in this.
In these pictures below her class is singing a pumpkin song. She was not happy because the girl in red pushed her out of her spot on the wall. At least that was how she felt.
Here is my son stealing his sister hot cocoa and enjoying every bit of it.

The Banana Squash that ALMOST Didin't Fit

What Fall Looks like out My Front Door

This is what our mountains look like up here. It is the view I have out my front window. I love the view. You can see the changing colors up there as well.
These berries show up every fall. But we stay away from eating them since last I heard they are not edible.

Pumpkin Patch Preschool Field Trip

So my daughter had 2 field trips this last month with school. The Second one was to the pumpkin patch. So I realize I already have pumpkin patch pictures but there were some cute ones I had to share with both and it was easier to do them in 2 separate posts.
Don't you love how she still only shows her eyes in this picture as well.
Looking for her own special pumpkin. Everyone in her class got to go through a special patch of small pumpkins and pick their own to take home with them.
She found her pumpkin.Getting her picture taken before she puts her pumpkin in the cart.
Putting her pumpkin in the cart.
Even the little guy got to come with but he didn't get to get another pumpkin. But he had fun.
He even wanted to feel big and try and push a cart all by himself.

Pumpkin Patch Day with Cousins

So some of my nephews and one of my nieces came up for a few days to spend time with us. So I took them to the pumpkin patch to use up some time and let them pick some pumpkins for me to cook as well as their own small pumpkin to paint. I added some extra pictures in here that I took so their mommies can see what we did while they were here.
He thought it was time to sit in the cart and rest for a moment.
The next several are pictures for the mommies to enjoy!
I loved this one it looks like he is telling her a secret.
they were so funny they insisted on pulling the cart.

At the patch they have a hay maze and this is the stairs/bridge that marks the opening to the maze.
Painting the pumpkins
Even my little guy got to join in on the fun.
So proud of the mess he's made of himself.
Showing off their pumpkins the next day.
So my husband is always able to get my son to look at the camera, smile and say cheese. I have the worst luck at getting my son to do this.

Trip to the Firestation

So My daughter and her Preschool went to the fire station for a field trip. It was one of the best fire station tours I have ever been to. The Fireman who was in charge was so cute with the kids. He led them all over the station and let them dress in fireman gear. He showed them the fire pole. He let them sit in the truck and even convinced another one of his colleagues to crawl on the floor all geared up and sing, "Mary had a Little Lamb" as he encouraged the kids to see that the fireman really isn't scary. Enjoy the pictures!
